We wanted to give you the inside scoop on what we’ve been up to!
The past few weeks have been both busy and exciting for us at Amazepack HQ (aka my living room)! From sourcing supplies to manually screen printing boxes, we’ve been working ‘round the clock getting everything ready to ship the first Amazepacks by Monday, November 12th. It’s a lot of hard work, but we also get to have fun!
Our favorite part of work is getting to play with art supplies in the name of research, and it’s even better when we get to do it with friends! Last week we hosted our very first Craft Test Dummies, an event to test out new project ideas with a small group of Amezepack aficionados. We also had dinner & crafts with a couple of gals from the SF Etsy team who’d gotten wind about the launch and wanted to hear our story. We made the mason jar soap dispensers from the upcoming box and they wrote an awesome blog post about it.
When we’re not testing projects or assembling boxes, we like to go on inspiration-seeking adventures. We recently spent an afternoon exploring SCRAP, a “creative reuse center” that collects and redistributes discarded materials to minimize waste. We’re hoping to incorporate some of their materials into future projects.
Oh, and this priceless photo? That’s me explaining to Ty how I’d love to have dinosaur hair clips like the ones Helen Hunt wore in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
Love and craftiness,
Kristine & the Amazepack Team
